Underfloor Heating Basic Installation Guide

Step 1 - First prepare the subfloor ensuring that it is free from dirt or debris

Step 2 - Prime the floor using primer contained in kit.

Step 3 - If using tile backer boards or XPS Premium boards, do so in accordance with seperate instructions provided, using flexi tile adhesive.

Step 4 - Check the underfloor heating with a multimeter to ensure resistance is correct

Step 5 - Begin rolling out the underfloor heating mat and cut as shown above when reaching the end of the room (not cutting the cable!)

Step 6 - Run the power lead from the start of the mat up to the thermostat position.

Step 7 - Install the floor probe between two underfloor heating cables

Step 8 - If possible covers the underfloor heating cables with self levelling compound

Please note a full set of color instructions is included with your underfloor heating kit, the above is a basic indication of installation procedures.

Our Under Tile Heating mat is the same type of cable as the loose cable drum but the cable is spaced evenly on a fibreglass mesh, thus saving time on the installation and ensuring that the spacing has been correctly carried out.  The heating cable is a series type heating cable of with a twin conductor with cold lead of 3.0M on one side. The cable has resistance heating wire provided with a primary insulation of fluoropolymer then covered with metal shielding and final outer sheath of PVC. The final outer dia of twin conductor cable is 3.2mm.

The Hot and Cold lead junctions are uniquely designed to make them 100% foolproof.

Standards :  Meets all test requirements of IEC 60335.

How much does it cost?

As standard we include FREE NEXT WORKING DAY DELIVERY to all UK mainland addresses (excluding, Channel Islands & Eire) on all heating products (this does not include tiling materials) Delivery outside the mainland UK may be arranged by prior agreement. You will be notified of the amount of the charge for this service and will at that point have to make a decision whether you wish to proceed with your order.

How long does it take?

Items ordered before 2pm on any business day (Monday - Friday) excluding Bank Holidays should be delivered next business day (excluding Saturday), anytime up to 6.00pm. The standard delivery charge does not guarantee next day delivery; however every effort is made by us & the couriers to achieve this goal. Orders taken on Friday after 2pm, Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched on Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) for delivery on Tuesday. Orders taken on Friday before 2pm will be dispatched on Friday for delivery on Monday (excluding Bank Holidays). However, We rely upon the services of third party couriers, and whilst we endeavour to always deliver in a timely manner there are unfortunately a few occasions when the couriers fail to deliver on the appointed day. This happens rarely, but because it does occur, albeit occasionally, we cannot be held responsible for the late delivery of an item, or any costs incured by customers tradesman unable to work, please ensure you have your materials before booking in any trades.
