UnderWood Heating Basic Installation Guide

Step 1 - First prepare the subfloor ensuring that it is free from dirt or debris
Step 2 - Install Underlay, using our Standard or Premium XPS insulation boards
Step 3 - Install floor probe by cutting a groove into the underlay
Step 4 - Lay the underfloor heating mat over the probe ensuring that the probe is not too close to the heating element
Step 5 - Continue laying the heating mat as shown - when reaching the end of the room the mat is cut with scissors or sharp blade and turned 180 degrees. Its easy just like mowing a lawn!
Step 6 - Continue rolling out the mat until finished
Step 7 - Wire the mat up to the thermostat position
Step 8 - Lay your wood flooring over the heating

The under wood system is an ultra thin electric radiant floor heating system primarily for use under laminate, engineered wood, glued hardwood and other floating floors. Advantage of using this system is the ease of installation and uniform heating of your laminate flooring. The special materials used makes it free from problems of ‘Hot-Spots’ or localized heating.
This system is made with fluoropolymer insulated heating cables. These are sandwiched between two layers of specially reinforced aluminium foil. The uniform spacing of the heating elements, further backed by the aluminium foil, ensures even heat distribution. The heating element is connected to a power-supply cable, which exits the laminate mat from one corner. The power lead is a flat thin two core flexible cord, consisting of two insulated conductors with a metal sheath and an outer sheath. This type of underfloor heating is available in a heat outputs of 140 W/m². It is available in predetermined lengths with cold tail – prefabricated & tested in a carefully controlled factory environment.
The Hot and Cold lead junctions are uniquely designed to make them 100% foolproof.

As standard we include FREE NEXT WORKING DAY DELIVERY to all UK mainland addresses (excluding, Channel Islands & Eire) on all heating products (this does not include tiling materials) Delivery outside the mainland UK may be arranged by prior agreement. You will be notified of the amount of the charge for this service and will at that point have to make a decision whether you wish to proceed with your order.

How long does it take?
Items ordered before 2pm on any business day (Monday - Friday) excluding Bank Holidays should be delivered next business day (excluding Saturday), anytime up to 6.00pm. The standard delivery charge does not guarantee next day delivery; however every effort is made by us & the couriers to achieve this goal. Orders taken on Friday after 2pm, Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched on Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) for delivery on Tuesday. Orders taken on Friday before 2pm will be dispatched on Friday for delivery on Monday (excluding Bank Holidays). However, We rely upon the services of third party couriers, and whilst we endeavour to always deliver in a timely manner there are unfortunately a few occasions when the couriers fail to deliver on the appointed day. This happens rarely, but because it does occur, albeit occasionally, we cannot be held responsible for the late delivery of an item, or any costs incured by customers tradesman unable to work, please ensure you have your materials before booking in any trades.
